Mostafa Zarei, director of Licensing Committee, said that after reviewing all documents submitted by top‑flight clubs over several sessions and based on reports from the federation’s club licensing department, the initial licensing body made decisions regarding clubs applying for AFC licenses.
Zarei stated that Esteghlal, Gol Gohar Sirjan and Aluminium Arak successfully obtained AFC professional licenses due to their satisfactory fulfillment of all mandatory and recommended criteria. Additionally, Tractor, Persepolis and Chadormalu Ardakan received AFC professional licenses with fines, having met all mandatory criteria but failing to fulfill some recommended criteria.
He added that Sepahan, Foolad Khozestan, Esteghlal Khozestan, Zob Ahan, Shams Azar Qazvin and Paykan obtained national league licenses. In contrast, Kheybar Khorramabad, Fajr Sepasi, Mes Rafsanjan and Malavan Bandar Anzali failed to obtain any license.
Zarei concluded that the decisions of the initial and appeals bodies have been sent to the AFC for final approval. The files of all clubs will also be referred to the federation’s disciplinary committee to determine possible fines.
