The Iranian Football League Organization has announced revised dates for the start of the 2024–2025 season. Following a comprehensive review and in light of recent national events, the league is now scheduled to commence on August 17, 2025.
The Iranian Super Cup—contested between Tractor SC, winners of the Hazfi Cup, and Esteghlal FC, the Persian Gulf Pro League runners-up—will be held on Monday, August 10, at the Naghsh-e Jahan Stadium in Isfahan.
