We Will Support the Development of Beach Soccer in Marivan

According to the official website of the Football Federation, the President of the Federation made these remarks during a specialized meeting with the Governor of Marivan and members of the local football community, which was held in Sanandaj. He described the meeting as one of the federation’s productive sessions, noting that its primary objective was to help improve the overall condition of football and sport in Marivan County.
Expressing appreciation for the efforts of the Governor of Marivan in supporting sport—particularly football—the Federation President stated that the governor is an active, sports-oriented official who has fulfilled his responsibilities effectively in advancing sports development in the region.
Emphasizing the importance of developing sports infrastructure, he noted that the construction of any sports facility helps eliminate environments that may expose young people to social harm. Bringing teenagers and young adults into sports venues, he added, enriches their leisure time and promotes a healthy lifestyle, which represents one of the most valuable forms of social service.
Referring to the high cultural standards of football spectators in Marivan, the Federation President pointed out that during the Hazfi Cup competitions, the attendance of more than 2,000 spectators in a stadium with limited capacity—and their fair support of both the home and visiting teams regardless of the match result—demonstrated the strong football culture and maturity of Marivan’s fans.
In another part of his remarks, he referred to the memorandum of understanding signed between the Football Federation and the Ministry of Education. Under this agreement, the federation will utilize the ministry’s sports facilities and pitches while also assuming responsibility for training physical education teachers and instructors, alongside covering minimal associated costs.
He explained that the main objective of this cooperation is to make sports more accessible to the general public at lower costs and to facilitate nationwide talent identification among students—particularly those who may not have previously had the opportunity to be discovered.
Addressing the situation of underprivileged children, the Federation President noted that many of them are unable to enroll in football schools due to financial constraints. However, through cooperation with the Ministry of Education, opportunities can be created for these children to showcase their athletic talents.
He also announced plans to organize a symbolic match between the national football team and Kurdistan-based footballers. Additionally, he stated that, with the support of local authorities, the construction of a beach soccer pitch in Marivan is feasible. He emphasized that beach soccer is a low-cost discipline with high development potential and affirmed that the Football Federation will support such initiatives.
Highlighting the role of sport in the development of border regions, the Federation President stressed that promoting sports in these areas is an effective strategy for regional development. True border protection, he said, lies in motivating young people to remain in their hometowns and contribute to building and developing their communities.
In conclusion, he underscored that industrial units and factories must fulfill their social responsibilities toward the communities in which they operate, as serving the youth of these regions constitutes a fundamental social obligation. At the end of the meeting, the President of the Football Federation presented the Governor of Marivan with an Iran national team jersey in appreciation of his efforts to develop sports in the county.
