According to the official website of the Football Federation, the AFC Grassroots Football Panel convened at the headquarters of the Asian Football Confederation with the participation of ten prominent technical experts in grassroots football from across the continent. During this meeting, Somayeh Dehghanian was introduced as one of the new members of the panel, enabling her to play an active role in policy-making processes and the development of strategic plans for grassroots football in Asia.

The panel has been established with the aim of enhancing educational structures and promoting the development of grassroots football throughout the Asian continent. The presence of Dehghanian, who also serves as the Head of the Youth Department of the Football Federation, reflects the growing and increasingly influential role of Iranian experts within the technical and developmental frameworks of the Asian Football Confederation.
