Mehdi Taj, President of the Football Federation, visited the IRIB Ardabil Center on the occasion of Journalist Day and extended his congratulations to the IRIB journalists.

He expressed appreciation for IRIB’s coverage of football events and said:

“IRIB’s record has always been outstanding, and its peak performance was during the 12-day war, when despite attacks on the organization, national media showcased the unity and strength of the Iranian people.”

Taj also announced plans to host international futsal tournaments in Ardabil, citing the province’s strong infrastructure.

He added:

“Ardabil has introduced great footballers to the country, such as Ali Daei and Karim Ansarifard. With the support of strong sponsors, we must create the conditions for Ardabil to have a team in the top tier of Iranian football.”

Latifi, Director General of IRIB Ardabil, also highlighted the province’s football talent and the presence of prominent players from the region, saying:

“We need to establish the conditions for Ardabil to have a team in the top league of the country.”
