
Iran U23 National Football Team Faces Fajr Shahid Sepasi in Friendly Match
The first preparatory match of Iran’s U23 national football team during its August training camp was held today.
U23 team played a friendly match this afternoon (Tuesday) against Fajr Shahid Sepasi Shiraz at Shohada Stadium in Shahr-e Qods, where the game ended 2–1 in favor of the Shiraz-based team.
This friendly match provided head coach Omid Ravankhah with an opportunity to field all players present in the camp and assess their technical performance.
It marked the first serious warm-up match for the U23 national team during the August camp, and Ravankhah aimed to use this competitive test to evaluate the players’ readiness—especially in preparation for the AFC U23 Asian Cup qualifiers.
