
Iran’s Vice President Attends CAFA Development Seminar in Tajikistan
The Central Asian Football Association (CAFA) has officially launched its Women’s Football Development Seminar, hosted in Dushanbe, Tajikistan from August 5 to 8, 2025 (14 to 17 Mordad 1404). The event brings together senior football officials and development experts from Iran, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Afghanistan, and Kyrgyzstan.
Representing Iran are:
- Farideh Shojaei, Vice President of the Football Federation Islamic Republic of Iran (FFIRI) for Women’s Affairs
- Mahdieh Mohammadhani, Women’s Football Development Officer
Seminar Focus Areas:
- Strategic planning for women’s football development
- Advancement of female coaching and refereeing pathways
- Support for grassroots and youth football programs
- Creating professional career pathways for female players
The four-day seminar includes panel discussions, technical workshops, and regional policy exchanges, aimed at strengthening cooperation and raising standards across Central Asia.
CAFA, headquartered in Dushanbe, continues to play a pivotal role in promoting football development through inclusive and regionally tailored initiatives. Iran’s active participation reflects its commitment to expanding women’s football both domestically and internationally.
