Iran’s Vice President Attends CAFA Development Seminar in Tajikistan

Shojaei and Mohammadhani represent Iran at the CAFA Women’s Football Development Seminar in Dushanbe.

 

The Central Asian Football Association (CAFA) has officially launched its Women’s Football Development Seminar, hosted in Dushanbe, Tajikistan from August 5 to 8, 2025 (14 to 17 Mordad 1404). The event brings together senior football officials and development experts from Iran, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Afghanistan, and Kyrgyzstan.

Representing Iran are:

  • Farideh Shojaei, Vice President of the Football Federation Islamic Republic of Iran (FFIRI) for Women’s Affairs
  • Mahdieh Mohammadhani, Women’s Football Development Officer

Seminar Focus Areas:

  • Strategic planning for women’s football development
  • Advancement of female coaching and refereeing pathways
  • Support for grassroots and youth football programs
  • Creating professional career pathways for female players

The four-day seminar includes panel discussions, technical workshops, and regional policy exchanges, aimed at strengthening cooperation and raising standards across Central Asia.

CAFA, headquartered in Dushanbe, continues to play a pivotal role in promoting football development through inclusive and regionally tailored initiatives. Iran’s active participation reflects its commitment to expanding women’s football both domestically and internationally.
