Marzieh Jafari Advocates for Sustainable Water Use Through Social Responsibility Initiative

In a symbolic and socially conscious move, Marzieh Jafari, head coach of Iran’s women’s national football team, has joined the National Water Conservation Campaign, reinforcing the role of athletes in promoting environmental awareness.

The campaign—organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Energy, Department of Environment, and national sports bodies—aims to raise public awareness about Iran’s water crisis and encourage responsible consumption.

Jafari emphasized that coaches and athletes serve as role models, stating:

“It’s our duty to be sensitive not only to sports but also to critical social and environmental issues. I wholeheartedly support this campaign to protect our vital resources.”

The Football Federation of Iran welcomed her participation, highlighting the importance of integrating social responsibility into the culture of sport.
