The Iranian Football Federation, in coordination with the League Organization, has announced that the draw for the 2025–26 Azadegan League—Iran’s First Division—will be held on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, at 4:00 PM local time in the amphitheater hall of the National Football Center.

The event will be attended by senior federation officials, club representatives, and members of the press, marking the official kickoff of preparations for the new season.

The Azadegan League will feature 18 teams, with the top two earning promotion to the Persian Gulf Pro League, while the bottom three will be relegated to League 2.

According to Amirhossein Farahani, head of league operations, the season is set to begin on August 28, 2025.
