Four Iranian Referees Appointed for 2025–26 AWCL Group Stage
AFC has confirmed the appointment of four Iranian referees to officiate matches in the upcoming AWCL group stage, hosted in Malaysia and Uzbekistan
The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has officially announced the selection of Iranian match officials for the 2025–26 AFC Women’s Champions League, marking another milestone for Iran’s presence in elite continental competitions.
In Group C, hosted in Malaysia from August 25 to 31, 2025, Mahnaz Zakaei will serve as the main referee, with Atena Lashani and Bahareh Seyfi Nahavandi appointed as assistant referees.
Meanwhile, Group B matches will be held in Qarshi, Uzbekistan during the same dates, where Fatemeh Nasiri will represent Iran as the lead referee.
These appointments reflect the growing recognition of Iranian women in football officiating and their continued contribution to the development of the sport across Asia.
