
Iranian Physiotherapist Honored at AFC Medical Conference in Kuala Lumpur
The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has recognized Zeynab Hossein Zadeh, physiotherapist of Iran’s national women’s football team, with the Medical Bronze Award for her outstanding service to football medicine across Iran and the continent.
The award was presented during the 8th AFC Medical Conference, held from July 21 to 25, 2025, at the AFC headquarters in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The conference brought together leading medical professionals from across Asia to share advancements and best practices in sports medicine.
Iran was represented by a delegation of experts including Dr. Tohid Seyf Barghi, Dr. Parhan Khanlari, Dr. Zohreh Haratian, Dr. Ali Pourmand, Benyamin Kiani Pour (physiotherapist for the men's national team), and Zeynab Hossein Zadeh, whose recognition marked a proud moment for Iranian football medicine.
The AFC Medical Awards aim to celebrate individuals who have made significant contributions to the health and performance of football players across Asia. Hossein Zadeh’s dedication and impact have earned her a place among the continent’s most respected medical professionals.
