Iran Women’s Futsal Team Undergoes Specialized Fitness Tests Ahead of 2025 FIFA Futsal World Cup

On the final day of their latest training camp, the players of Iran’s women’s national futsal team underwent a comprehensive series of physical fitness assessments at the National Olympic Academy’s Performance Evaluation Center.

These tests, conducted under the supervision of expert coaches and sports scientists, aimed to assess the players’ current physical condition and readiness for major upcoming tournaments, including the FIFA Women’s Futsal World Cup 2025 in the Philippines and the Islamic Solidarity Games.

The evaluation featured five key performance tests:

  • Illinois Agility Test – to measure agility, acceleration, and directional change capacity under match-like conditions.

  • Countermovement Jump (CMJ) – to assess explosive lower-body power, crucial in fast-paced futsal movement.

  • Upper-Body Strength Test – to evaluate physical resilience in tackles and balance.

  • Powerbreathe Respiratory Test – to measure respiratory muscle strength and aerobic capacity.

  • Wingate Anaerobic Test – a gold-standard assessment for anaerobic power, speed, and fatigue index using a cycling ergometer.

The coaching staff will analyze the data collected to tailor individualized training plans and identify areas of improvement for each player.

With strong motivation and technical cohesion, Iran’s women’s futsal team continues their preparations with a clear focus on delivering top performances on the international stage.
