Futsal Championship Preparations Underway with Coordination Meeting at Iran’s National Football Center
Focusing on logistical and organizational planning ahead of the tournament set to take place on Kish Island this summer.
The coordination session for the 2024 CAFA Futsal Championship was convened at the National Football Center in Tehran. The meeting focused on finalizing logistical details and ensuring seamless hosting of the event, which is scheduled to be held on Kish Island later this summer.
Attending the meeting were key figures involved in tournament organization, including Farzad Radbouei (Head of Sports and Recreation, Kish Island), Hamed Momeni (Deputy Secretary General), Behzad Azad (Head of Futsal), Ali Afzali (International Relations), Mr. Zargar (IT Director), along with officials from the federation’s security, cultural, protocol, and executive departments.
During the session, the timeframe for the visit of Asian Football Confederation (AFC) inspectors to evaluate Kish Island’s readiness was determined. Other critical topics discussed included team arrival logistics, accommodation arrangements, media operations, and planned cultural activities during the championship.
One of the major outcomes of the meeting was the tentative scheduling of matches, set to be finalized for late July. The organizing committee confirmed that preparations on Kish Island are progressing on schedule, with close attention to detail aimed at delivering one of the most professionally executed CAFA events in recent years.
