President Visits Team Melli Camp
President Taj visited Team Melli training camp, offering encouragement and support ahead of their upcoming FIFA World Cup qualifier against North Korea.
President Mehdi Taj met with the coaching staff and players during his visit, sharing words of appreciation and motivation to boost team morale ahead of their final group-stage match.
Taj commended the team for securing an early qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup and expressed optimism that with strong fan support at Azadi Stadium on June 9 (20 Khordad), Iran will deliver a high-quality performance against North Korea.
The meeting took place in the presence of Mehdi Mohammadnabi, Vice President, Heydat Mombeni, General Secretary, and Ali Targholizadeh, Technical Director.
The leadership reaffirmed their commitment to providing full backing to the national team as preparations intensify for the road to World Cup 2026.
