
Child Safeguarding Seminar 2025 Held in Tashkent
Over the course of two impactful days, participants engaged in comprehensive discussions and workshops addressing critical child protection issues in football. Key focus areas included:
✅ Recognizing and responding to signs of abuse
✅ Establishing safe and inclusive environments within football settings
✅ Understanding the ethical, legal, and policy dimensions of safeguarding
✅ Developing effective reporting structures and procedural pathways
The seminar was led by AFC consultant Morgan Lander, who brought extensive experience and practical insights to the sessions. The event also featured hands-on activities at Dustlik Stadium, the official venue of the upcoming CAFA U17 Championship 2025, allowing participants to apply safeguarding principles in real-world football scenarios.
Iran was represented at the seminar by Iraj Ahmadi and Ehsan Mohammadi, contributing to regional dialogue and exchanging best practices with peers across Central Asia.
This initiative highlights CAFA’s ongoing commitment to implementing AFC and FIFA safeguarding frameworks, and underlines the region’s shared responsibility to ensure the safety and well-being of all children and vulnerable individuals involved in the game.
