
Women’s National Team Focuses on Tactical Drills
The women's football national team conducted a series of structured training activities on the fourth day of their preparatory camp for the AFC Women's Asian Cup qualification matches.
The session began at 5 PM at Kargaran Stadium, led by assistant coach Mahdieh Molaei. The players first engaged in light jogging and stretching routines before transitioning into small groups for ball-control and passing drills. Photo Gallery
Following the initial warm-up, head coach Marziyeh Jafari divided the squad into two groups to emphasize tactical and technical elements of the game. Players responded to the instructions with focus and enthusiasm throughout the 90-minute session.
After the training, a technical meeting was held between the coaching staff and players. During the briefing, Coach Jafari provided detailed analysis of upcoming opponents, with a portion of the training dedicated to executing strategic plays intended for match situations.
The national team will continue their preparations under Coach Jafari’s supervision until June 1.
Iran has been drawn into Group A for the AFC Women’s Asian Cup qualifiers, where they will face Jordan, Lebanon, Singapore, and Bhutan. The qualification tournament is scheduled to take place from June 22 to July 4 in Amman, Jordan.
