Fans welcome Iran’s national team at dawn in Tijuana

The welcoming crowd included Iranian expatriates living in Mexico as well as local Tijuana residents, many waving Iranian flags along the street outside the airport terminal.

Mexican border police officers supervised the entry procedures for the Iranian delegation after the team’s flight landed. Numerous international and local media outlets stationed at the airport, on surrounding streets and at the team hotel broadcast live coverage of Iran’s arrival.
