Shojaei: No One Can Create Controversy Around the Women’s National Team

Dr. Shojaei stated that the technical staff and players are working tirelessly to sustain their success in upcoming competitions. She emphasized that every opponent is respected and that, with detailed planning and the President’s support, the Federation is implementing the best preparation program for the months ahead.
In response to false reports about coach Marziyeh Jafari’s departure and alleged delays in bonus payments, Shojaei confirmed that all such claims have been officially denied. She characterized these rumors as the work of a few who are either unaware of the rules or opposed to women’s football.
She highlighted the challenges the team faced when traveling to Jordan—at a time when many other national teams in different sports were unable to compete at their venues—and praised the players’ unwavering determination and discipline.
Addressing those few who felt upset by the team’s achievement, Shojaei said, “You cannot manufacture controversy around this team, because these players hold a place in the hearts of the people. The joy of 90 million Iranians cannot be denied.”
In closing, Shojaei reaffirmed that women’s football remains at the forefront of the Federation’s agenda. She vowed that progress would not be halted by slander or speculation, and that this national team stands as a symbol of resilience, with its victories belonging to Iran’s football community and its beloved people.
