Director of Iran’s Grassroots Football Project, emphasized the importance of oversight and family awareness during the national football school registration process, which officially began for the 2025 season.

she explained:

“In line with the annual calendar of the Grassroots Iran Project, and with the start of the new football school season, the registration process for players is now officially underway. This phase includes registering through the national football school portal, organizing educational workshops for coaches and managers, promoting child safeguarding awareness, and implementing the school rating system in coordination with provincial grassroots and youth committees.”

Dehghanian called on parents to act responsibly when choosing football schools:

“We urge parents to be diligent in selecting the right environment for their children’s development. Before enrolling in any football school, families should consult their provincial or local Football Association (FA) to confirm the school’s license and review its code of conduct and educational standards.”

She also issued a warning regarding unlicensed or deceptive operations:

“If any irregularities are identified, families are encouraged to report them through local or provincial FA channels. With proper coordination, corrective action or penalties will be enforced. Additionally, families should be extremely cautious of advertisements or promises related to transferring players abroad. Many of these claims are false or unauthorized. Any such cases should be immediately reported to the FA.”

In closing, Dehghanian noted the positive momentum in coach development:

“We are pleased with the progress in grassroots coach education across the country. With the support of provincial FAs, tailored training programs for youth coaches are being actively delivered and will continue with a structured and purposeful approach. These courses are vital to enhancing the quality of grassroots football education in Iran.”
