
The head coach of Iran’s national futsal team, Vahid Shamsaei, along with his technical staff, will be closely monitoring the opening week of the Iran Futsal Premier League with scouting visits to the provinces of Hormozgan and Markazi.
According to the official website of the Football Federation Islamic Republic of Iran, Shamsaei and his assistants David Ramos, Mahmoud Khorrakchi, and Mohammad Taheri will be attending matches in various cities across the country as part of a scouting initiative to assess players for the upcoming CAFA Futsal Championship.
During the first three weeks of the league, the national team’s coaching staff will travel to Bandar Abbas, Tabriz, Saveh, Arak, Gorgan, Isfahan, and Zarand to observe matches in person.
For the first week, Vahid Shamsaei and Mahmoud Khorrakchi will travel to Hormozgan Province to watch the match between Naft Bandar Abbas and Gohar Zamin Sirjan. Meanwhile, David Ramos and Mohammad Taheri will assess players in the Sanayech vs. Shahrdari Saveh match in Saveh. Kazem Sadeghi, the national team’s goalkeeping coach, will visit Kerman to monitor the clash between Foolad Zarand Kerman and Giti Pasand.
The new season of the Iran Futsal Premier League is set to begin on June 21st, 2025 (1 Tir 1404). Given that the CAFA Futsal Championship will take place from July 9 to July 19 on Kish Island, the national team staff intends to evaluate player form and fitness during the first three weeks of league play to select the most in-form squad for the regional tournament.
