Meeting Between President and Futsal Club Executives
A cordial and constructive meeting was held between the President and the CEOs of Premier League futsal clubs at the National Football Center.
At the beginning of the session, Ehsan Osouli, Head of the Futsal Committee and League Organization, welcomed the participants and expressed appreciation for their support throughout the previous season. He stated:
"The support from clubs for the national futsal team is invaluable. You played a key role in the team’s successes—which are a source of pride for all Iranians. As was the case during the last World Cup, this year too, we need your continued solidarity, especially given the tight schedule of the national football team."
He emphasized the importance of regular interaction between the league and club executives:
"We have consistently organized meetings with club CEOs. One of our main strategies is to enhance engagement and collaboration. Futsal in Iran is on the right track and is increasingly attracting public attention and investor interest. This growing popularity is our greatest asset, and we must collectively build on it in the coming season."
Osouli also discussed topics such as the professionalization of the futsal league, advertising strategies, mandatory medical checkups, and accreditation for journalists.
Mehdi Taj, President of the Football Federation, also addressed the gathering, highlighting the high level of public interest in futsal and some emerging concerns:
"One of the sources of dissatisfaction has been the inflated and illogical contract figures that have become common. This season, similar to football, contract increases in futsal will be capped at 30%. This policy aims to curb excessive and unjustified payments, and the Inspection Organization will regularly monitor this process."
He acknowledged financial challenges faced by the clubs and added:
"We understand the pressure clubs are under due to limited revenue streams. I thank you for your unwavering support for futsal. We need to work together to build trust and attract strong sponsors to the sport."
Ehsan Mohammadi, Director of Public Relations for the Futsal League Organization, presented a report on cultural and social initiatives undertaken during the 2024–2025 futsal season. He noted:
"Our aim is to collaborate more closely with the media in the upcoming season to create a clearer and more positive public image of futsal. We made significant strides in social responsibility initiatives last year, thanks to the creativity of club media managers, which now requires further support from club executives."
A key technical topic discussed in the meeting was the possible implementation of Video Support (VS) technology in the Premier League. Ali Taregholizadeh and Mohsen Hakim presented the concept and answered related questions.
In the final part of the session, club CEOs shared their suggestions, expectations, and concerns with Ehsan Kamiani, Secretary of the Futsal League Organization.
