FIFA has announced in this statement that since 2018, we have seen the participation of women in the international competitions of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and we are now seeing the presence of women in the league competitions in Tehran and finally all over Iran. According to the latest reports, last season we saw the presence of women in almost half of the Iranian Premier League matches and stadiums.

FIFA continues; The dialogue with the FFIRI and the authorities continues. This issue is regularly raised in FIFA's discussions with FFIRI at all levels. Our dialogue with the Iran Football Federation in the past years has been constructive and federation has fulfilled many of its obligations and has gradually improved women's access to stadiums across the country.
